Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before getting started.
General
Reunifyr is an all-in-one platform for creating private community sites.
It gives reunion organizers, family historians, churches, and other groups
a branded space to manage events, share photos and videos, build genealogy trees,
publish memorial tributes, and keep members connected — without relying on
social media or scattered tools.
Reunifyr is built for any group that needs a private, organized online home:
family reunion committees, multi-generational families preserving history,
churches and faith organizations, alumni groups, and community organizations.
If you've outgrown group texts and shared folders, Reunifyr is for you.
No. Reunifyr is a web application that runs in your browser on any device —
desktop, tablet, or phone. There's nothing to download or install.
Privacy & Security
Yes. Each organization's data is fully isolated. Your photos, member information,
genealogy records, and event data are only accessible to your authorized members.
We never sell, share, or use your data for advertising.
Absolutely. All plans include full data export. You can download your photos,
member records, genealogy data (GEDCOM format), financial reports (PDF/CSV),
and event records at any time. Your data belongs to you.
Reunifyr uses SSL/TLS encryption on all connections, secure password hashing,
optional two-factor authentication, rate limiting,
and strict access controls. The platform is hosted on enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure
with automated backups and monitoring.
Features
Every site includes event management, photo and video galleries, a genealogy tree
with GEDCOM import/export, memorial tribute pages, a member directory,
announcements, recipes, document sharing, PDF/CSV reports, and a full admin
dashboard. Higher-tier plans add features like stories, birthday reminders,
custom branding, and white-label emails.

Yes. Every organization gets its own branded Reunifyr subdomain
(e.g.,
yourgroup.reunifyr.app). Organization and Enterprise plans
also support mapping your own custom domain name.
Admins generate invitation codes that can be shared with members. Members
visit a join link, enter the code, and create their account. This keeps
sign-ups private and controlled by your organization.
Family Plus and higher plans include built-in research tools on the genealogy
tree and member detail pages. You can search the Library of Congress for
historical photos, maps, newspapers, and manuscripts — completely free with
no login required. You can also browse census, military, and immigration
records from the National Archives. Connect to FamilySearch to search one of
the world's largest genealogical databases. Findings can be saved directly
to member profiles. Your search is privacy-first — you review and approve
every query before it is sent.
